Israel's last war?

My podcast discussion on Triggernometry

I was delighted to return to the Triggernometry studio to record another podcast discussion with Konstantin Kissin and Francis Foster, who both display the increasingly rare attribute of an open mind.

We discussed the crisis for civilisation presented by the October 7 Hamas-led pogrom in southern Israel, and the reaction in the west to these terrible atrocities and the year-long war that has followed.

We talked about the undimmed national spirit in Israel, the belief there that this must be Israel’s last war and whether this is even possible. We discussed the way the western mind has been twisted to deny reason itself in its attitude to Israel and what it is facing; why the left refuses to acknowledge the threat posed by Hamas, Hezbollah and jihadi Islamism; how the west has failed to learn the lessons of the Holocaust; the reasons for the current tsunami of antisemitism; and why to be anti-Israel is inescapably to be anti-Judaism.

In the final half hour section, discussing questions raised by viewers, we talked about why the west is failing to deal with radical Islam; the likelihood of peace between Israel and Saudi Arabia; the role of tribalism in the Middle East; and the prospects for a two-state solution to the war between Israel and the Palestinian Arabs.
