Thousands believe that Palestinian genocide is resistance and Israeli resistance is genocide

There has been widespread shock and disgust at the massive pro-Palestinian demonstrations held yesterday in London and other British cities. 

With the civilised world still reeling from the harrowing images of last Saturday’s barbaric Palestinian Hamas pogrom in which at least 1300 Israelis were murdered, with babies and the elderly among those who were butchered, beheaded and burned alive and around 150 kidnapped into Gaza as hostages, these demonstrations were beyond obscene.  

The pro-Palestinian mob displayed not one placard protesting against the depravity of Hamas; no revulsion at the murder of children, rape of women and decapitation of babies; no horror at the fate of the hostages.  Instead they supported the pogrom and displayed a depravity of their own directed at Israel and the Jewish people.

Two young women demonstrators sported an image of a paraglider taped to the back of their jackets. Sickeningly, this was celebrating the weaponised paragliders that had floated into southern Israel during the pogrom, cutting down 260 participants at a music festival by raking them with machine-gun fire from the air. As she marched, one of these women chanted: “Britain is a terrorist state.”

A lone demonstrator with an Israeli flag was surrounded and attacked by the pro-Palestinian mob screaming “Allahu Akhbar”.

Elsewhere, the mob chanted “Khaybar, Khaybar, oh Jews, the army of Mohammed will return” — the infamous chant referring to the seventh century slaughter of the Jews of Khybar by Islam’s founder Mohammed, which acts as a jubilant glorification and incitement of the slaughter of Jews. 

Despite the warnings by the Home Secretary that chanting: “From the river to the sea Palestine will be free” was a call for the annihilation of Israel and therefore unlawful, this was chanted nevertheless — and  there was at least one black and white jihadi flag. 

This support for Palestinian barbarism is more widespread even that those thousands of demonstrators.  After UK government ministers ordered the Israeli flag to be raised over government buildings last week in solidarity with Israel over the atrocities,  permanent secretaries — the most senior officials in Whitehall — were bombarded with complaints by other officials  on the grounds that the government was “taking sides”.

While some departments such as the Home Office had an Israeli flag flying by Monday, it took the Health Secretary, Steve Barclay, until Wednesday to persuade his officials to follow suit — only for the flag be taken down again against Barclay's wishes. 

Wrote the Mail: 

A Whitehall source said: “Despite the horrific nature of the Hamas attacks, there was still a lot of resistance to the idea of flying the flag. It was intended as a mark of solidarity with the victims, but civil servants are disproportionately left-leaning and instinctively sympathetic to the Palestinian cause.”

People in Britain are shocked by this mass display of moral barbarism because they have failed to understand certain things.

They don’t understand that the “Middle East conflict” is not a fight over the division of land but a genocidal war against the Jewish state fuelled by fanatical Palestinian Arab Jew-hatred — and that supporters of the Palestinians, whatever they think they are supporting, are actually endorsing that unconscionable agenda.

They don’t understand that antisemitism is not just another form of “racism” or “hatred of the other” but a unique, paranoid and murderous  derangement  of the mind directed at the Jewish people alone.

They don’t understand that this Jew-hatred is absolutely fundamental to the Islamic holy war against the west. They don’t understand at all the scale and nature of that jihad against the western and free world. They just don’t get religious fanaticism.

Yes of course there are plenty of decent Muslims who abhor terrorism and subscribe to western core values. But a horrifying minority do not. And a very high proportion subscribe to the evil tenets of Jew-hatred.

Has anyone heard any Muslim organisation in the UK denounce Hamas for its atrocities against Israelis or the Palestinians for their murderous hatred of the the Jewish people?

People in Britain don’t understand how support for the Palestinian cause has destroyed the west’s moral compass. In fact, it’s been part of a lethal cultural feedback loop: the west signed up to the Palestinian cause because it had already lost its moral compass.

Having lost its ability to discriminate between truth and lies, right and wrong, victim and aggressor, it inevitably reversed truth and lies, right and wrong, victim and aggressor over a range of issues.  Hatred of its own culture and its inherited values made it all too vulnerable to Palestinian Arab lies, forged in the infernal crucible of Soviet mind-control and laundered by the west’s intelligentsia and progressive classes.

The result is the horrifying situation now on display, in which untold thousands of people believe that genocide by Palestinian Arabs is resistance and true resistance against this by Israel is genocide.  

Suddenly, much of Britain is realising that it has a monster in its midst. The fact that so many are surprised is part of the problem. For Britain and the west have carefully nurtured this for decades and vilified anyone who has tried to sound the alarm.

In 2006, I published my book Londonistan about the capitulation by the British establishment to Islamic jihadi fundamentalism. 

Although obviously much  has developed since then, my core argument remains as valid today as it was then. And just as today with any criticism of the Muslim world, I was demonised as “Islamophobic”.

One chapter in the book has a particular resonance with today’s ominous developments. I reproduce an extract from it below.
